This short tour has been fucking killer, a few sold out shows, and the fact that the fans are singing along to all the new stuff is awesome. I have been having a blast. One quick funny story,we were parked in Bielifield Germany and while parked up on a day off a truck driving by slammed into our trailer at 35 mph, it shook the bus and everyone woke up,our driver jumped out his bunk and ran off the bus and he was fucking naked, it was hysterical. Lee and a few of us were up and drinking and just hanging out, Lee spilled his drink on himself and was yelling at the driver who hit our bus that he made him spill his drink, I have it on video, it's fucking funny as hell. The guy who hit us was just beside himself when 15 dudes got off the bus and one of them naked,I made a joke saying I bet he thought it was some weird travelling gay bathhouse, a bunch of long haired dudes and a naked guy . I'm sure it will make it to our dvd which will probably be out at the end of this year, we got a new trailer and nobody was hurt except Lee of course, who wants pain and suffering for spilling his drink! 2 more shows to go, I want to thank everyone who has come out and made these shows a lot of fun. Kill KIll KIll...Blood Blood Blood !!!

Read the interview Gary did with Germany's Metal Hammer:

What made you listen to Heavy Metal in the first place?
That's a good question! For me, it all strated with hard rock, but the harder it was, the better. From there it just developed into a love for it, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, and the whole NWOBHM thing just dragged my in
for life.

Who personifies Metal the most for you - and why?
Rob Halford. That dude has always been all about metal and nothing else for so long. He still waves the flag proudly for all of us.

What's the best Metal album ever in your opinion?
Rainbow - RISING. You need not own another album.

Starting 2008 off on the right foot by launching their first North American tour in support of their latest Billboard-charting album, The Atrocity Exhibition: Exhibit A, EXODUS will soon be bringing their trademarked brand of fist-in-the-face music to a back alley near you. In tow will be Goatwhore from New Orleans, Virginian labelmates ARSIS, and L.A.'s Warbringer.
"We tour more and longer and with fewer days off now than we ever did in our 20s," states EXODUS guitarist Gary Holt in a recent interview with KNAC.com.

"I think it has to do more with not lagging and keeping things moving forward. When we were younger, we had the luxury of days off, but days off were expensive. The more shows you do, the less money you burn on the bus being parked outside a Wal-Mart and having the crew do nothing – except maybe drinking a lot.

Now when we're on the road, we just do our thing and when it's done, we may do a couple of shots, watch a movie, and play Uno for money. It's the most fun when someone's drawing cards trying to find their color and having shit for luck. Then we start talking shit, like 'Taste the rainbow, motherfucker…' [laughter]"

When asked by Synthesis.net about The Atrocity Exhibition: Exhibit A's anti-Middle East stance, Holt replied: "I never set out to make a political album. On 'As It Was, As It Soon Shall Be,' one thing led to another and it ended up as me taking another potshot at the Bush Administration. It was written from my point of view. This whole mess in Iraq… we went there for the wrong reasons. It wasn't my battle, it wasn't my idea to play 'world police,' and now we're never going to get out of there. At the same time, I'm not a bleeding heart liberal."

Deemed one of metal’s most important heritage bands for the lasting – and ongoing - contributions they’ve made to the creation and sustenance of the thrash metal genre, it is only apt that the first EXODUS video in support of their recently released, Billboard Heatseekers-charting album, The Atrocity Exhibition: Exhibit A, would be visually pummeling. The video for “Riot Act,” directed by Jon Schnepp of Metalocalypse (on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim) for Schneppzone Inc., will debut online this Friday, December 7th on the Headbangers Blog website and on-air on Saturday, December 8th on MTV2’s Headbangers Ball (check local listings for show times).
Calling in from a helicopter somewhere over Santa Monica, Jon Schnepp had this to say about his experience working with EXODUS:
“I had an AMAZING time working with ALL those guys – Gary, Rob, Jack, Lee, and Tom… they’re all GREAT. They did a FANTASTIC job and made it a really fun shoot. They were FULL of energy with EVERY take and you really can’t ask for more than that!”

“We went out on a limb and asked Jon if he'd shoot our video,” reminisces EXODUS guitarist/songwriter/founding member Gary Holt. “When he said yes, we were stoked to say the least. The ideas he came up with made this our best video ever! I usually hate making videos, but this time I was actually excited about it! It’s unique, and of course, it’s heavy! We’re happy to see how things have been going for the new record. Number 23 on the Heatseekers chart - pretty killer indeed! Now it’s time to hit the road and play these songs – that’s what I’M talking about!!!”

EXODUS will be launching a North American tour in support of The Atrocity Exhibition: Exhibit A on January 20th, 2008 in Bakersfield, California with Goatwhore, Arsis, and Warbringer that will culminate in a hometown show in San Francisco on February 24th at Slim’s.

What's going on people, just returned from South America yesterday. Some of the guys stayed for a vacation and I am really envious but alas, I have family things to tend to. But as for the tour?
      Fucking incredible!

We, as a band, have had a long love afair with South America, the warmth of the people, the beauty, the nightlife, the genuine lust for life is something that grabs me and hold on for a long time. But the fans are the pulse down there, the heartbeat that keeps me coming back.

Every show was amazing , the response always insane. But let me tell you about the hair. No, I'm not talking about how fucking long it is, or how many split ends! I'm talking about two shows in particular, Bogota and Santiago. The fucking floor was littered after the show with hair. Huge chunks of it. I'm not talking about what you pull out of your brush after getting out of the shower. I'm talking about enough hair to make a dozen wigs! Craziest thing I've even seen! Every two feet, another massive clump! They were ripping hair out of each others heads, I shit you not!

Each show was special, we have so many friends down there, great times all around. I don't think many bands have the time we have there, so many long friendships. We have a good time and are in the know when it comes to Brasil! Anyone ever been to Lovestory? Hahaha! If you have, you know what I'm talking about! Or Manifesto Bar? That's my favorite place to go party, and this time we took over a Motley Crue cover bands gear for a drunken version of Dirty Deeds while about a half dozen girls made out with each othere! I told you we know what a good time is!

To make a long story short, I wish I was still there with the others heading for Paraty and not typing messages for the lot of you! No insult intended!
